Better communication needed at St Louis Park, MN store


I recently had to have my Dell Inspiron battery replaced. I am a button pusher not a computer geek. I got an email asking for a review, but I guess I'm too private whatever security setting prevented me from adding my review.

I signed up on line to have the laptop battery replaced. The only price shown when getting to the scheduling- is if one chooses to buy a external drive and have your technician back up my data. The tech did NOT look at the on line order, and altho I asked for this back up, ( The Micro center webpage disclaimer says my data could be at risk) the tech did the battery replacement BEFORE backing up my data. If my data was at some risk, why the heck was the back up not done FIRST!

Micro center products are good but this service- altho came out OK, was not communicated well.

Bad communication is bad for getting my business back.

The website where battery back up is ordered needs to distinguish between the back up service and the Battery replacement service ( which price is dependent on the cost of battery I realize)
