Help upgrading laptop RAM
Hi, I have a ROG GU501GM Laptop (www.amazon.com/Asus-ROG-GU501GM-i7-8750H-128GB/dp/B07CR5RYDB) with 16GB RAM installed. I was hoping to purchase 2x16GB sticks to upgrade to 32GB RAM, but I know nothing about compatibility or even where to start looking for this information. I don't want to order the wrong thing and brick my laptop. Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to help me.

Your model apparently have 2 ddr4 sodimm ram slots. So a 2x 16gb ddr4 sodimm ram pack should definitely works. However performance wise you want to look at ddr4 sodimm rams clocked at 2666mhz or higher. Installing higher or lower clocked ram isn't going to brick your system, it just would either hit on the performance(if you order ram clocked lower than 2666mhz), or have you to spend extra(if you order ram clocked higher than 2666mhz it would cap at 2666mhz).
