Connecting Wii to Sceptre Monitor

I'm having trouble connecting my Wii to my Sceptre monitor. I believe that I've purchased and set up all of the necessary cables and adaptors, but the VGA cable wont connect to the monitor (it fits in the VGA port, but nothing happens). The VGA cable can't be broken, because I just bought it a few days ago, and I haven't used it for anything else. If anyone can give me advice, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Hi,
Are you using an RCA to VGA adapter? From what I've seen of Wiis, they don't natively have VGA on them.
