PSU - Corsair RM850 80+Gold

GFX - ASUS 3060 Dual White OC 8GB

SSD - Crucial MX500 1TB

M.2 - Samsung 980 1TB + Crucial P3 1TB

Fans - Corsair QL120 White

Used for Gaming, Video encoding, and CAD

Thoughts? Having trouble deciding whether to move to DDR5 platform for future upgradability, and trying to know if I'd need a 12GB GFX Card or if 8GB is enough in this build.

I don't do any video editing myself but I understand the 12GB graphics cards are valued over the 8GB ones by people who do.
You should ask how much difference it really makes in a forum specific to the video software you intend to use.

Are you editing in DaVinci Resolve or the Adobe Suite?

Adobe, if I do edit. But I mostly just to encoding, reformatting files to different formats, which I'm pretty sure if that is a CPU process or a GPU Process
