Reviewers at Amazon and Newegg seem to say at some point G.Skill switched from dual rank DIMMs to single rank. Unfortunately, MicroCenter's reviews don't mention rank#.

Anyone know today whether this RAM kit sold at Micro Center is dual rank or single rank?

It would be hard to say from here as our Community forums are not directly in a store. If you come in and speak with a sales rep, they would be able to check the memory module stickers there in store and verify that information with you before purchase.
