I purchased a Lianli 011 Dynamic case marked open box. I understand there are risks with open box items, but the website listed it as complete, and when I picked it up in person, the box had a yellow sticker on the outside labeling it as complete. Once I made it home and opened it, I realized that it is missing the hardware/accessory kit, and all the screws on the case itself that hold on the back panel and power supply, etc. It is also missing structural parts like the SSD/Hard Drive Panel, the removable hard drive cage, and the power supply cover panel.
The reference number on my receipt is 141-WP-16507292 It was only marked down 38 dollars, but for what it is missing despite being labeled complete, I would have been better off just buying a brand new unit.
It was a two hour drive to the microcenter, so unfortunately just bringing it back is not a simple task. I would love some guidance if there is anything that can be done, thank you.
Hello,
I am sorry to hear about your experience with an Open Box item. My best recommendation would be to return/exchange the item. Usually by default when an item gets returned, the item would be labeled as: "INCOMPLETE: OPEN BOX". It is rarer to see "COMPLETE:OPEN BOX", However I'd recommend inspecting the unit when you see a box with a clearance yellow sticker.
Thanks for reaching out,
V
