Old D.O.S. guy needs to upgrade from my last build (i7-6800K @ 3.40).

I just attempted to order a custom build tier 2 with the bundled parts however after starting with a AMD Ryzen 9 7900X the custom build application would not allow the choice of ASUS B650E-F ROG Strix Gaming WiFi unless I deselected compatibility mode. After chatting with tech support I was informed that the problem was " the 6000hz speed ram which is technically overclocking for the motherboard" however the compatibility issue arose at step 2 "choose a motherboard" that was before step 3 choosing ram. I have looked at the spec's and can not see any problems however I am carpenter and hope that someone with expertise with this could help me not to make any unnecessary mistakes while attempting to spend wisely,

I was really looking forward to feeling comfortable investing in a competent professional to configure and setup this new rig however I am willing to struggle thru if I must.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

    Hey, Athon!

That's definitely something I would recommend stopping by your local Micro Center and speaking to one of our Build-Your-Own Specialists about. They can help you put together the best build for your preferences and budget, and make sure everything is compatible. We could then build it on site for you. They would also be able to answer any other questions you may have along the way :)
