New Gaming PC Need Assistance

Hello,

After eight years of using a laptop for gaming, I am hoping to build a gaming PC that can last for just as long. My Alienware laptop from 2015 has been struggling to play newer games lately even on very low settings and I think it is time to retire it and move on.

I am looking to play more recently released games such as Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Death Stranding, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake, ideally on max settings but I would be just as happy playing high settings with steady FPS and no stuttering. The build I had in mind is this one but I 'm not sure if what I have selected is enough to do that, or if it is overdoing it since I only have a very basic understanding of PC building. Ideally, the price would be under $2000. Please let me know what can be improved or better optimized for the price, thank you!
