I recently tried enabling XMP on my motherboard, I hadn't done this yet because I just recently built this one and my last completely bricked so I really valued stability over everything else. When I tried though it immediately didn't boot up so I disabled it and it was back to normal. I might want to try again but before I do I wanted to know if updating the BIOS could help?

BIOS updates generally improve compatibility. It could help and on a new build I'd probably start off with the manufacturers latest BIOS. Looking at the QVL list ASUS has tested a number of G.Skill's 6000Mhz modules without issue. A few things to keep in mind here. Right now at DDR5-6000 you are pushing it, XMPEXPO is an overclock and depending on your hardware and individual component binning it may not be stable. 5600 is much safer now, though we expect this to improve over time. Second, DDR5 boards can take a while to train. Make sure you're giving it 2-3 minutes to boot.
