Why is the red hard drive light flashing on a PC I just upgraded at Microcenter Parkville?
We just had the power supply, video card, and cooling fan upgraded on a computer we bought at Microcenter, but I've plugged it in and the hard drive light is flashing red, plus nothing shows on the monitor. Before I drag it back in, is there anything else I can do? Everything is connected properly.

It indicates disk activity. With a black screen it's usually a good thing, indicating you did POST. Is there a chance you plugged the monitor into your IGP instead of the new discrete card?

Thanks for responding. I figured that out. Flashing red on any computer component has never signaled anything good to me. It's an odd choice of color for something that's working fine.
