Ethernet connection goes out sporadically during use of 1 of 2 computers

Hi anyone/everyone,

My S/O has had some issues while playing overwatch where her wired ethernet connection will drop connection from the computer. It is isolated to her computer as mine does not ever lose its wired connection. We have double checked connections to both the computer and router and both connections are secured. I went through and did a network reset on her computer and it lasted a day until the issue began again. There is a chance it is the ethernet cable, which will be my next attempt at a fix.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on a fix?

Do you know the model of the ethernet controller on her motherboard?
