Hi, I'm sorry if this is dumb question; I don't often make large purchases online.
I ordered a Lenovo IdeaCentre 5 Gaming PC on Saturday and it is set to be delivered to my house tomorrow, so that is exciting. However, my bank is still pending the transaction, and the money hasn't been taken out. Is it normal for it to take this long to finish the transaction? I know that ordering on a weekend might mess with business days, but I've never had to wait before when purchasing something, so I just wanted to be sure that nothing went wrong.
Again, sorry if this is a really obvious thing to ask. As is probably obvious, I have serious anxiety and it impacts even buying things I enjoy haha.
In most cases this is up tot he bank.
Just saw that it finally posted, so looks like it was indeed just the bank taking awhile. A valuable lesson for me not to immediately think something went wrong lol.
Great to hear @FinalArcadia
Hopefully to clarify the process for anyone in the future, we attempt the finalize/process the payment once the item ships. Before that it remains pending (authorized) and is held. Once we are ready to process the payment, the timeframe the bank takes to switch it from pending to processed depends on their internal processes, but we usually see this in the ball park of 3-5 business days, which as you theorized earlier would not include the weekend.
