My L drive, 2TB HDD (ST2000DM008-2FR102) suddenly started being really slow when opening or moving files from the drive. Some programs installed on that drive won't open at all. Steam no longer recognizes games I have installed on the drive either. Clicking through folders or sometimes scrolling through results in Windows Explorer freezing temporarily. Steam does the same thing, and it's installed on my C drive. Every time I boot up the PC, it wants to run a check on the L drive.
I ran CrystalDiskInfo and it has the Health Status set to Caution:
Caution 05 Reallocated Sectors Count: 1696
Caution C5 Current Pending Sector Count: 856
Caution C6 Uncorrectable Sector Count: 856
My C drive, SSD, where Windows is installed, also has Caution under it. It says the Wear Leveling Count is 2, 2%. When the HDD started slowing down, I noticed the shut down, restart and lock buttons on my PC take about a minute or so before doing what they're supposed to do.
What do these issues mean? And what should I do about them?
Sir, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your drives need to be replaced ASAP
