Need your opinion on this please
Hello everyone. I am building a video editing and possibly machine learning pc with Ryzen 9 7950X3D Raphael AM5 4.2GHz 16-Core Boxed Processor. I want to keep the cost under 1600 dollars. But my main focus is on the CPU, and the Ram. As far as GPU, I think I can get away with a 3060 rtx which is about $320.
Does anyone has a build parts suggestions for the rest of the build?
Thanks

Do you have some particular machine learning in mind? What software? Typically ML software runs in the graphics card and doesn't mind much what CPU is there. So you may be backwards in your planning.

So basically I need a machine that can help me both with 4K video editing and stable diffusion. I want to install the stable diffusion on my local machine. I like to generate ai images but don’t want to pay mid journey.

My advice is to determine what software you will be using before deciding on whether to emphasize CPU or GPU in your build.

let's just forget about the machine learning because I am still learning python and it might take few years to get into Machine Learning. But what about 4k video editing. Do you have any parts advise in mind? Does the CPU I chosen would be sufficient enough for my intended purpose or do I necessarily need a GPU as well?
Thanks.

Good afternoon @raminjan
Thank you for contacting micro center. I have sent a email to you directly to get more information on this.

Sorry, I have no way to advise you without knowing what software you want to use.

Hi @raminjan
Below is a build guide I created that might help you choose your parts...
@magarity is trying to help you determine which video editing program your trying to use because each programs' utilizes the hardware differently. For example, DaVinci Resolve takes advantage of GPU processing, while Adobe Premiere Pro utilizes more CPU processing, but having strong CPU and GPU's will still help in processing power.
As far as Stable Diffusion goes, the program is heavily dependent on GPU processing, so processor isn't as important. The biggest thing you should be concerned with with AI would be your model training files, which can be a minimum of 1.0GB, so I would recommend a very large SSD or HDD to store those files.

Here is a quick build I made that should meet your needs...
