Champion Picks: Perfect Prebuilt PCs

This discussion has a more recent version.

While laptops, tablets, and phones have made working and gaming on the go easier, there’s no competing with the power and customizability of a standard desktop computer. Of course, building your own isn’t for everyone. Thankfully, Micro Center stocks a wide range of prebuilt PCs, and our Champions have picked out some of their favorites to help make your decision even easier.

Lenovo Legion 7 Gaming PC Platinum Collection by @w8deywins

If you’re struggling to decide on the right prebuilt desktop, I highly loaded Lenovo Legion 7 gaming desktop. Not only is it a high-quality beast of a machine, its even part of Micro Center’s Platinum Collection, so you won’t find this configuration anywhere else. But what, exactly, is packed in?

To start, this epic PC comes equipped with some of the best hardware on the market, like the blazing fast Intel Core i9-13900KF(24-cores) and the beefy Nvidia RTX 4080(16GB VRAM)! Pair those parts with a1440p monitor and forget worrying about low frame rates! It’s not just the frames that will be blazing, as the Legion 7 includes a 1TB M.2 NVME Gen4 SSD and 32GB of DDR5 RAM with a speed of 5600MHZ. Of course, it also comes with the latest and greatest Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.1 to help keep your latency to a minimum. Lastly – but not least! – it comes preloaded with Windows 11 Pro, which is not just a killer OS, but will allow you to set up your PC as a domain so you can remotely access it, wherever you have internet!

All of this is ready to go out of the box, no assembly required. Just plug it in and get to gaming! If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or talk with a Systems Sales Associate who would be happy to help you out.

PowerSpec G441 Gaming PC by @ricardo_ortega

To all the gamers that are in the market for a high-spec prebuilt that can handle triple-A games at high graphics without sacrificing FPS, productivity users who need heavy power for rendering/editing/content creation, and everyone in between, look no further than the PowerSpec G441. This desktop is one of my favorite prebuilt recommendations, as it is made with well-known, high-end parts but, unlike other prebuilds, it offers easy customization so you can upgrade and change out parts without stress.

This beefy machine comes in a white Powerspec/Lian Li case, and uses an MSI pro Z690 motherboard with 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM (with support up to 64GB!). The processor is the 16 core Raptor Lake Intel i7 13700KF (13th gen), which features 8 P-cores at 3.40Ghz, 8 E-cores at 2.50Ghz, and a Turbo Frequency of up to 5.4GHz. For storage, it comes with a 1TB SSD and has the capacity to add two more M.2s in the motherboard, as well as a bay slot for an HDD. But that’s not all. The G441 is jam packed with: Windows Pro version, Wi-Fi gen 6, Bluetooth 5.1 in the motherboard, and all RBG fans, including an AIO for CPU cooling. To finish things off, the GPU is an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti, giving you stellar support for 1440p and 4k gaming.

PowerSpec G442 Gaming PC by @Lesaol

The PowerSpec G442 Gaming PC is a great system for those who are looking for the best bang for buck performance, delivering high frames while gaming at higher resolutions on displays like 1440p without breaking the bank. With the included AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT, you can play everything from esports to AAA games without having to worry about whether your system can run it or not. Paired with Intel’s Core I7-12700KF 12-core processor and 32 GBs of memory, tackling streaming, video editing, and multitasking without any interruptions will be as easy as a walk in the park.

High-performance systems like the G442 need a proper case and cooler to allow the parts to perform their best. The G442 is designed with this in mind, ensuring the case has plenty of airflow for all of the high-end parts throughout. It even has an RGB water cooler for the CPU, so that it not only stays cool and quiet, but keeps it looking colorful too! One of my favorite updates on these new PowerSpec units is the added Type-C USB port on the front I/O, which is much more accessible than the old back-panel-only USB-C ports.

The G442 is a great system whether you’re just getting into the PC space or looking to upgrade your old system. Stop by your local Micro Center today to learn more!

PowerSpec G473 Gaming PC by @tbarggs

The Powerspec G473 is a high-performance gaming desktop that is well worth considering for anyone who is serious about their gaming experience. It comes packed with powerful hardware, including an Intel Core i9-13900k processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, which can handle even the most demanding games with ease. Additionally, its 64GB DDR5 memory and 2TB NVMe solid-state drive provide plenty of storage and lightning-fast performance.

However, what really sets the PowerSpec G473 apart from other gaming desktops is its attention to detail and build quality. Its tempered glass side panel and customizable RGB lighting make it a visually striking addition to any gaming setup. The case and layout is well-designed, with ample airflow to keep components cool even during intense gaming sessions. The Powerspec line uses no proprietary parts which means if you ever need to replace parts, or want to upgrade, it can be done with ease! The PowerSpec G473 is a fantastic choice for gamers who want a high-performance system without sacrificing aesthetics.
