Hello! I need to replace my old desktop. I am a new/beginner builder....never done this before. I would like to build a desktop that will last me for years to come. Please help with a build for general everyday use, windows word, spreadsheets, etc, video streaming, photo editing, and wanting to take all my dance recital VHS and put them on DVDs/blue rays. That's a solid build! It should work very well with what you want to do. Some of the newer parts can be more difficult to deal with since they have not ironed all the kinks out just yet. The availability will depend on the stock levels at your local Micro Center. Which store were you planning to go to? You can take the list in to a BYO associate there and they can help you with the parts. There are also options that can be switched out if those particular ones are unavailable at the time you go into the store. I would recommend letting our team at the store build it for you. There can be complications and they are best fit to resolve them and have access to replacement parts on hand at the store. They can save you a lot of trouble and heartache!
