What parts should I choose so it can be easier to upgrade while the PC still preforming well

I am trying to build a PC with newer parts for the I9 12900K and a higher-end GPU. Could you recommend lower-end parts for the ram, storage, and PSU so I can upgrade it in the future while Im in a budget

Hey, unicornslayer!

I would highly recommend going with our 13700k motherboard + CPU + RAM bundle kit, as that would provide some of the best value. The 13700k also tends to perform better than the 12900k in games.

That being said, I wouldn't go for a low-end PSU either. I've had success with the PowerSpec branded PSUs in a few more budgety builds, but I wouldn't go super cheap. Just make sure you're going at least 25% above what your computer needs, as that'll leave room for fluctuations. I personally try to go 50% above where I can, but keep in mind we're on a budget. (For example, if your computer wants 500w, I would aim for 750w).

If we're doing DDR4, I LOVE the G.Skill Ripjaws. Their price has gone down a lot recently, and I've been using them for a while now. If doing DDR5, TeamGroup makes some decent RAM, but I'd probably go for the Ripjaws again if possible.

Still though, consider the bundle if you haven't already purchased a CPU and a motherboard (or if you're still in the return window).

What companies would you recommend for harddrive

If you're doing a hard drive (not an SSD), I've had luck with both Seagate and Toshiba. Seagate drives are typically priced a little better than their Toshiba counterparts, but either would do the trick. Make sure you go with 7200rpm.

For SSDs, Crucial, Samsung, Intel, and WD are good bets. Inland (our store brand) also has some good ones that are priced reasonably.
