Hello,

I have been playing microsoft flight simulator off and on for about a year now and I continually have an issue where the game freezes for approximately 5 to 15 seconds. When this happens my keyboard, joystick and throttle lights flicker and go off and turn back on and the computer makes a chime sound then the game unfreezes. 

This isn't a new issue and posts online sound like others have had it without a solution. 

Is it possible to be an issue with all the devices pulling power from various USB ports on the computer or would an over draw of USB power have different symptoms?

If you get an overdraw on your USB you would see an alert for sure in the Windows Logs

Sounds more like a rogue power saving feature. Have you tried just disabling power saving on your USB hubs in device manager?
