Power supply question
Hello I have a gigabyte Z590 UD AC motherboard and I’m installing a new power supply Corsair 850w PSU and I have the 24 pin connector but my motherboard has another 12 pin connector but it’s separated so 4 pins on the left and 8 pins on the right and on my manual for my motherboard says it’s a second ATX connector but my psu only has the big 24 pin connector and it has a 8 pin CPU connector but not the four pin do I need the four pin connector as well?

Only the 8 pin is actually required to funnction. If you have a second 8 pin in the box with the power supply, you should be able to separate them 4 and 4 and plug it in as well. The added power allows you more overclock options.
