Can I redeem my friends Starfield code on my GPU thats the same model

So my friend gave me a starfield code after buying the RX 6700XT. I have the same gpu( i bought it a few months ago)  and I was wondering if I can redeem it on my pc that also has the RX 6700xt

I believe you have to validate hardware when you redeem the codes which may be tied to serial numbers, not the series of GPU just or even model number. I think the work around for this would be to log into your steam account on your friend's computer, redeem and validate the code on his system, then it should be tied to your steam account from that point onwards. Not 100% that would work but I think it would be the best thing to try!

@Aodhan_Gorman Should be correct on this one. I know with the previous D4 bundle with NVIDIA, it checked your serial number in GFE. However, this one is redeemed via a web link on AMDs website. So you might actually have luck with this. I'm curious to know how this goes, if you've tried it already.
