Apple sealed laptop bought on microcenter does not show as having valid purchase date
I picked up an apple certified macbook pro from microcenter. Box was just as from apple outlet (sealed with the plain white box), but I see "About my mac" and it shows a warranty date 8 months from now (instead of 12 months) and I cannot buy applecare as it does not appear as with a valid purchase date. What are my options? do I need to return it and buy it again so microcenter shares the purchase date with apple? I tried uploading my receipt to apple tech support, but they have not solved anything.
it seems to be that internally microcenter did not recorded the transaction with apple (the microcenter listing said 1 year warranty).
any suggestions?
