Purchased a bundle from Microcenter with the Z690 Aorus Elite AX mobo and Intel i9-12900k processor. Flashed the mobo with the latest BIOS - "FM" version. This is required to work with the new i9 processors. Built the machine, installed Win 10 Pro. Cannot get the PCI controller to install. Gone though all the drivers on the Gigabyte site and also tried to find one on the Intel site. Can someone please point me in the right direction for resolving this. Built many pc's and never had a problem like this.

Make sure under Chipset you do Serial I/O, Intel Management Engine firmware and Inf Installation. If it's still there, double click on, details. Post the HWID and we'll figure out exactly what it is.
PowerSpec_MikeW,
Thanks for the quick response. Does it matter what order they are installed? This install wore me out, hard to remember what was done and not done. Did a fresh Windows install. Only takes about 5 mins with this combo. Attached is a pic of the PCI controller hardware ids
Intel Management Engine Interface, should be in here: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Driver/mb_driver_648_consumer_2232.71.59.0.zip?v=7d91802430d2e8e6a7f28ea0dd54df2d
Order doesn't matter so long as it all gets installed.

With the fresh install i installed the three chipset drivers you mentioned and I am still showing the PCI controller as needing a driver. Going to call Microcenter and see what can be done.
They should be able to help. It's definitely an MEI controller., hard to say why it won't install without seeing the contents of the installer. Its' a separate package for Alder Lake and Raptor Lake. You're Alder Lake, usually that's 16.0 and Raptor Lake is 16.1. Possible Gigabyte didn't include the 12th Gen driver set.
