i want more usb ports but not quite sure about which one to get and where?
i have a usb hubs but they are not working quite well anymore.
so i was looking into usb extension pcie cards but they all seemed mixed. like it works great or it killed my computer or i had to unistall everything an reinstall it. both here and amazon they seem kind of sketchy.
so my question is what is the best one to buy?

asus rog strix z590-e gaming wifi
intel core i7 10700k
evga 3070
64 Gb of ram

I've never had any issues with the Vantec or Syba's add in cards we sell. Just depends on how many ports you need. With your board/CPU and only having a 3070, you've got plenty of PCIe lanes, shouldn't matter. Drivers are in box, it should be plug and play.

Looking on Amazon I see a tremendous amount of total mystery brand PCIe to USB cards so I don't blame you for that comment at all. But MC stocks established brands so I wouldn't worry about Vantec since they've been making accessory cards for over 25 years now.

With PCI-E based USB cards, you will likely want to go for ones that have multiple controllers onboard. Doing so will ensure higher available bandwidth to each port, which is especially relevant with high bandwidth devices like capture cards or VR headsets / trackers.
