Extended warranty claims that included a free item with the purchase.

If I buy a product from Micro Center that comes with a free item from Micro Center, does the free item also need be returned if making an extended warranty claim on the purchased product?

Example 1: Ryzen CPU that Micro Center included a free 32GB RAM kit. Does the RAM also need to be returned if there's a warranty claim on the CPU?

Example 2: CPU purchase that comes with a free motherboard that Micro Center has included. Does the motherboard need to be returned if making an extended warranty claim on the CPU?

Do the answers to the above questions change depending when the extended warranty claim is redeemed, i.e. if it's less than a year is it one answer vs if it's more than a year?

The service plan covers the total cost of the items, the RAM would not need to be included there.
