OR
ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E ?

Best RAM option for 64GB (2x32) 6000+ ?
1+ SSD NVMe, 3+ SATA

1000W is enough for this build. The 4090 is 450W and the 13900K would draw around 300W at peak. This leaves plenty of power for the other components of the PC. Personally, I would recommend the MSI carbon board. The ASUS Maximus board is designed more for overclocking. The config I would use in a render build is:
CPU: Core i9-13900K or 13900KF
Board: MSI Z790 Carbon
SSD: Samsung 980 Pro or WD SN850, both drives are PCIe 4.0 x4
SATA Drives: Seagate Ironwolf
Chassis: Lian Li Lancool III or Fractal Pop Air
Cooler: Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance 360mm (the performance version has a larger pump and better fans than the other variants)
Power Supply: ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W
Video Card: Any 4090 with three fans.
This configuration without OS and sales tax should be under the $4k target price you are looking for.

Thanks! Excellent reply. Total is at $3,615. Wattage at 870.
Any recommendation on RAM? Looking at G.Skill - Trident Z5 RGB 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5-6400 PC5-51200.
I could assemble, but REALLY hate wasting time troubleshooting issues that typically come up. Most places seem to be charging WAY too much ($800!?). Microcenter charges the most reasonable fee, but have the most slim selection (no Carbon or Hero boards, no SSD Samsung "990"). I dont know if they will obtain them, or I can supply them.
But thanks!
