i9 13900KS not boosting to 6ghz
Have a new custom PC from Micro. I read the i9-13900KS 24-core should turbo-boost to 6ghz (w/o manual OC), with adequate cooling. But am barely getting 5ghz, and quickly hitting 100°C at full load.
Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance AIO.
Lian Li LANCOOL III ATX Mid-Tower (three 120mm 1300 rpm fans)
MSI Z790 Carbon MB- Turbo-boost enabled in bios.
1200w power.
Airflow seems excellent.
So why is my CPU so warm, and stopping at 5ghz at full load? Settings to try?
Am about a 4 on a 1-10 tech savvy scale.
Thanks!

Sounds normal. It says it boosts up to 6GHz. You're not likely to ever hit that, you certainly won't on a heavy multicore load. You would need to go over to a custom loop for that and you'd probably want to learn and play around with some undervolting. The latter you could do now and it would potentially increase your performance.
