Trying to upgrade my build that is from 2018 Where do I start?

Starting with a thanks for anyone who can assist me and point me in the right directions.

My build is older and is unavailable through the microcenter build site. The budget for upgrade is $500-$750, I have both a 1080p monitor and a 1440p monitor looking to get high fps on 1080p games and fluid fps on higher quality games. Currently can barely run MW2 and want to upgrade for MW3, BG3. If this is not the place for support then I apologize, just trying to get some other opinons.

First go to youtube and search for "Modern Warfare 2 1080Ti" . I think you may be surprised at how well that's holding up. However notice those reviews are using cutting edge CPUs with one of those cards. I think if you upgrade to a 13th gen Intel or AMD 7000 and corresponding motherboard and memory then you'll be all set.
