It's a resolution issue, you need to get into safe mode to fix it. Hold the power down until it turns off, then hold the power button and eject button to enter safe mode. It'll set it to 640x480, then you can get in and set the resolution.

You mean to do this on the Xbox correct? Does it just automatically reset or something?

Under - Your screen is blank after you turn on the console - Reset display settings.

Ok thanks. I’ll look. I am also told that a display input /hdmi adapter might work. The monitor has a display input option and cord, but the Xbox doesn’t have a port for that. .

Shouldn't be required. Probably just not compatible with the input of the last TV/Monitor that was connected to it. I've had to do this on an XBOX one before after moving it from a monitor to a TV.
