I want to upgrade my current set up for better gaming any suggestions??

I preferably want to upgrade my cpu or gpu & mouse  but I don’t want to upgrade my motherboard as well (specs on my profile)

Hello! I would be happy to assist you in locating some upgrades. Is there a specific price range you are looking to stay within for the upgrade. If you are looking to upgrade your processor to AM5 series that would require an AM5 motherboard as well, however, this can future proof your system a bit more!

To clarify, the $800 budget is specifically for the CPU and GPU combined?

@Ian Yeah unless I’d have to get a motherboard for better performance based on the specs I have now

5800X3D and a 7800 XT should fit in that budget. 5800X3D will max out the AM4 platform so far as gaming is concerned. 5600X3D is very close and will save you almost $100.

@PowerSpec_MikeW looking into that cpu now mostly streaming /gaming/and music but I was thinking about going Nvidia instead of amd for the gpu upgrade
