want to buy a monitor to attach to my hp envy x360 - 15m-dr0012dx
I have an hp envy x360 - 15m-dr0012dx that I've owned for a few years. I use it when I travel.
Lately I've bee wondering, hot I might use i to replace my PowerSpec B72 since it cannot upgrade to win 11. I'm thinking of adding a monitor for the hp envy x360 - 15m-dr0012dx.
What sort of specifications for the envy x360 would help me to select a monitor?

That laptop is equipped with an IPS 1920 x 1080 display. You can match this or get a higher resolution depending on your needs. According to the spec's on HP's website. You have an HDMI port and a USB-C port that has DisplayPort™ 1.2. That means you can either use the HDMI port or the USB-C port for your monitor.
If you want 1080p
1440p (2k)
2160p (4k)
Ultimately, this is a personal choice. If you have a chance to visit the store talk with our sales team. They will help you find the best monitor for your needs.

Thanks for the comment. I did not know where to start. My thoughts are to buy the 2160 4K and get used to that. My PowerSpec B728 is coming up on 6 years old. Theres quite a few items not working and the C:\ drive crashed once (was 500 Mb) and I replaced it with 1 Tb SSD. I had installed a 1 Tb HDD when I bought it. It suits me well for storing my data. but I bought a 4 Tb Buffalo drive which I don't know how to use.
My idea is to make the laptop the primary computer but have a bigger monitor. Then I want to build a server which would be for myself and my wife, with several HHD drives so we can store the data reliably. But also to hood up the computers across the network to share.
