Do I need an appointment?

Today I bought all parts for a new PC, took it all home and built it...

There were a couple of case cables that I could not identify where they would attach to the MB.

I would like to bring it in tomorrow and have someone show me where they should go.

Would I need an appointment for that? Would they charge me for that?

That did help, thank you! I think I have everything connected to the MB properly now, I still have one concern/question tho..

The video card has a "Y" cable to plugs into it, and has PCIe style connectors on the ends. Do BOTH of those need to be connected to the power supply?

My PSU has only 2 of those cables and one of them plugs into the motherboard, so....

That sounds like its the 2-8 pin to the 12+4 pin adapter for the GPU. That is for Power Supplies without a built-in 12+4 pin connection to connect 2 8-pin PCIE cables to and then connect to your GPU.

You shouldn't need that adapter as your Power Supply should have a slot on it labeled "12VHPWR", and the cable that comes with the Power Supply for that slot (called a 12+4 pin cable, or sometimes a 16 pin cable) is the one you'll want to connect between your Power Supply and your GPU.

Yea, I got it worked out, thanks for the assistance!

I was trying to save a bit of money by cannibalizing the PSU from my old PC but it turns out I had to get a new one anyway… Old one did not have the VHPWR cable.
