What would be the best way to remove old drivers on a Powerspec G510?
I've got the driver compatibility message box at start-up about old drivers like ene.sys and MsIo64.sys. According to this other post (https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/12010/where-can-i-find-an-updated-driver-for-mslo64-sys), the drivers were related to Aura and RGB software. I don't use the color settings at all, so I tried uninstalling that software, but the drivers remain. What would be the best way to remove/disable the drivers so I'll stop seeing the incompatibility message window?

You can delete ENE and you can delete autoruns. Thought it's a useful tool from Microsoft. I use autoruns and process explorer quite a bit.

Sounds like you updated and memory integrity/core isolation auto enabled. Those drives are most likely related to the preinstalled AURA software. Uninstall that and install the latest version of Armoury Crate.

I don't want Armoury Crate. I don't use the lighting settings at all, and none of the other features sound like it's worth downloading.

In that case, you can just uninstall Aura. There going to be a Patriot RAM RGB package that's part of it you want to install. It'll be visible under installed apps.

Like I said in the original post, I already tried uninstalling both Aura and Patriot RGB. I still get the driver compatibility pop-up.

Must have left something with the ENE bundle. Let me load that image up Monday and I'll see what it's specifically attached to.

I uninstalled the following.
Aura
Aura Service
Galaxy Gamer RGB
Patriot Viper RGB
I had no pop ups after that. If you still are please run autoruns and screenshot what's running on your system:
Edit: I got the pop up from ENE a while later, that driver is still running. I ran autoruns as administrator and unchecked the following under drivers:
enelo
GLCKIO2
MSIO ( this one was already gone, but the reference remained.

I already uninstalled those 4 programs before making the original post.
I tried running autoruns as admin, but eneIo didn't appear under drivers. I tried using the quick filter option to find it, but got no results either.

That's related to the ENE Technology package, must of been uninstalled. Are you still getting any pop ups at startup now?
-
I still get the ene.sys message, but if I rename it to something else it seems like the rest are gone.
-
Could be loading as a service, but renaming it works. The path is C:\Program Files (X86)\ENE I believe.
-
Can I just delete the program files ENE folder? Also, do I need to keep autoruns to prevent the other drivers from attempting to run, or can I delete it now?
-
Okay, thanks. I'll keep autoruns in mind and redownload it as needed.
