What is the policy for iPhone battery replacement


I am reaching out with regard to an issue I encountered during my recent visit to your store. Today, I had an appointment scheduled for a battery replacement for my iPhone 12. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that there were no iPhone 12 batteries in stock. While I understand that such circumstances can arise, I was surprised by the unavailability of a battery for a relatively current device like the iPhone 12.

Furthermore, I was advised that it would take 2-3 days for the battery to be delivered to the store, and it was necessary for me to leave my phone at the store in order to proceed with the replacement. This presents a significant inconvenience, as I rely heavily on my phone for both personal and professional communication and cannot afford to be without it for an extended period.

When I inquired about the possibility of paying to have the battery ordered and then being contacted upon its arrival, I was informed that this option was against company policy. Unfortunately, the employee was unable to provide further clarification on why such a policy exists.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with an explanation regarding the rationale behind this policy and whether any alternative solutions might be available to accommodate customers in situations similar to mine.
