Intermittent black screens with ASRock Challenger ITX card (Model A380 CLI 6GO

Hi. I have a PowerSpec B744 PC, and at Microcenter's recommendation, I installed an ASRock Challenger ITX video card to support up to 4 monitors. I have 3 monitors attached to it currently. The card is working most of the time, but occasionally, all of the screens go black for about 2 to 3 seconds, and then return. I can't have this happening when I'm on web meetings for work. Does anyone know cause/solution? —Rick

I would check event viewer logs first. Current Views - Administrative Events. Let me know what's there at the time this happens.

Hi Mike. No error nor warning was thrown when the last blackout happened. My PowerSpec has 80Gb of RAM, fyi. Also, when I have multiple browser windows open, playing video on YouTube is extremely choppy when played through the Challenger ITX, but plays smoothly on the motherboard's video outs (albeit via only 2 monitors instead of 3). Thoughts?

First thought would be driver crash, but that would leave an event log to indicate so. Did resizable bar auto enable in the BIOS?

I don't think so, but will check.

It wasn't added until 3002. If you're on the factory BIOS, you will need to update to the latest ASUS BIOS. You're going to have a rough time on an Arc card without Resizble Bar.

Thank you, Mike. I updated the bios from 2606 to 3006. I also just enabled Resizable Bar. So far, the system is performing very well!
