G443 - Awakens from sleep into BIOS cycle/loop

Hi - Entirely new to forum, and would appreciate any thoughts/input. I purchased a G443 in the Fall of 2023. Within a few days, I noticed that it would often awaken from sleep and go into the BIOS, but if I exited the BIOS, it would go right back into the BIOS in an endless loop. I could break out of the cycle by powering off and then powering back on. I brought it back to the store, and they didn't bother troubleshooting it and simply replaced it. Within 2 weeks, the exact same thing started happening with the 2nd system. At this point, I was thinking it was something I had done, but I hadn't customized or changed any settings (I'm not that tech-savvy). I interacted with several tech support folks at the store, one of whom said he was aware of this issue, but nobody else had heard of it. I took a chance and let them replace it again (3rd system). It has been find for the past 9 months, but starting 2 weeks ago, same problem. I've started digging around the power schemes and system reports, but haven't come across an obvious issue, apart from the fact that it's clearly related to sleep. I'm under warranty but at this point would rather try to figure out why it's happening instead of being offered a 4th system. Appreciate any suggestions from folks on the forum!

Search for msinfo32 and open System information. Let me know what BIOS version you're on.

Lets get the update on there.

1. Extract the file onto a flash drive.
2. Boot into the BIOS with 'Delete' on startup.
3. Press Control + Alt + T and confirm to enter advanced flash mode.
4. Select the file and confirm the flash.
5. Once it completes go back into the BIOS and enable XMP.

@aceyrs , did the BIOS update solve your issue? I have B751 that is doing the same thing you described.

Our latest BIOS for the DDR4 version of the board is 1ME.

Must be flashed through the advanced flash mode. Control + Alt + T from the BIOS.

Did this issue start right away or a while after you were using the system?

The PC was purchased on 4/30/2024. The issue started a few weeks after that.

Can phone support walk me through this if I stumble at some point in the process of updating the BIOS?

Yes.

1. Extract the file onto a flash drive.
2. Reboot and press 'Delete' to enter the BIOS.
3. Press Control + Alt + T to enter advanced flash mode.
4. Select the 1ME file and confirm the flash.
5. After completion, press F1 or Delete to enter the BIOS.
6. F6 to load defaults.
7. Click 1 to enable XMP.
8. F10 to save and exit.

Click 1 in step 7 did not seem to do anything. 

It was the same version and date of the bios I already had anyway. 

Now I can’t log in to Windows because the pin no longer works and when I try a password it says it is unable to connect right now. Please check network and try again later.

Must of reset TPM. You can connect to WIFI via the icon on the bottom right to be able to login via password.

Thanks. All set now. Will see if the sleep thing is resolved, but doubtful since BIOS was the same as the one I had.

Probably not, basically it's not seeing the drive on boot, so the default behavior is to go into the BIOS with no bootable device. If that doesn't work, you might try moving the drive down to one of the M.2's on the chipset lanes. M.2_4 would be easiest on the bottom right. Of course, you also have a 1 year warranty, we'll take care of it in service.

Yes, the BIOS update did work for me (thanks, @PowerSpec_MikeW!). It also fixed some other quirks I had noticed, like not waking up to the keyboard previously; it now does so appropriately, and has not entered into the BIOS cycle at all anymore.
