Thoughts on Potential Upgrade of Monitors from 1080 to 1440.
My current computer is a Powerspec G433 which I use primarily for sim racing and occasionally MS Flight Simulator. I”ve owned this system for about 5 years and over time have upgraded the HD and Memory from the the original specs as follows:
Processor | Intel® Core™ i7-9700KF Processor | |
---|---|---|
Op Sys | Windows 11 Pro 64-bit | |
Mother Board | ASRock Fatal1ty Z390 Pro4 System Board | |
Memory | 32 GB DDR4/3200 DIMMS | |
Hard Drive | 1 TB NVMe Solid State Drive | |
Video | NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2080 PCI Express | |
Sound | Integrated 8 Channel HD Audio CODEC ALC892 | |
LAN | Dual Band Wireless B/G/N/AC/Bluetooth | |
LAN | Intel® Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet | |
Power Supply | 750 Watts 80+ | |
I’m currently running three 27” Dell 1080P monitors. I normally see frame rates of 100 or higher running at very high graphics settings in iRacing.
I am considering upgrading the monitors to triple 32” 1440P monitors. Would my current system comfortably handle that type of upgrade?

you might have to turn down some settings in game but your system should be able to handle a triple monitor setup.

Personally I would recommend tuning down your graphical settings if you're planning on wanting to do triple 32" monitors. Start at 1440p for the resolution and tune around it to find an optimal and comfortable setting for you!
