What gloves to wear when dissasembling a laptop and touching the battery?
Recently I have been searching the safety procedures for disassembling a laptop. I learned that nitrile ESD gloves might be useful. My main use for them would be more so for moving the battery, as an ESD wrist wrist strap would work fine for keeping me and my components safe. My questions is: do nitrile gloves actually work well for dealing with electronics and is it smart to use the normal disposable ones as opposed to the PU coated gloves?

Hi! Nitrile gloves would be a good option here for what you are looking for. They are also a bit more durable and more resistant to any puncture.
