Building My First PC For Video Editing

I have watched several builds on a editing PC including one that Micro Center did. Explain like I am 5! I literally just need this thing to edit, hold high definition footage, and stream occasionally. I play on console so all the other bells and whistles don't really apply for me but if you guys feel this is overkill for what I need to do then do share substitutes!

My budget is 4k and I very likely will build this thing myself :)

Solid build! With a 4k budget you have plenty of room for what you want. For your RAM I see that you have 4x16GB sticks, I recommend running 2x32 sticks instead if you can so it can run a bit more efficiently. With the money you save with that swap I recommend sticking to SSDs, specifically M.2 if you are able, for storage instead of the 4TB HDD that you have selected. There is a significant drop in read and write speeds when using a disk drive instead of solid state drive. Samsung is pretty reliably consistent with their drives so I would stick with them.

For your cooler, you definitely want to upgrade this. I recommend the Lian Li Galahad II Trinity SL

So just to clarify I don’t need the WD Gold? Also thank you so much for the insight yeah I was hoping 4K would be more than enough for this thing 😭

Glad to help! :) I would remove the WD gold and do another M.2 or SATA SSD.
