Trouble unscrewing brackets on Motherboard

It’s in the title. Just bought an ASUS TUF B650 Plus Wifi motherboard for a build, trying to unscrew the Philips head screws holding the brackets on above and below the CPU so I can attach the ones for the CPU cooler but i can’t get them to budge. If anything i’ve only stripped the screws. Any advice?

Push a rubber band into the screw, then use the screwdriver to get more grip on it. Usually works, even on a partially stripped screw. I've never had too much of an issue with the AM4/AM5 brackets though.
