Issues with PowerSpec G717
Back in May I purchased the PowerSpec G717 Gaming PC Platinum Collection. It has worked great up until recently where I have been having some issues. The first is that occasionally, when I turn on the pc, it lights up and the orange and red MSI motherboard's EZ debug lights are lit. It stays like this and does not boot up. I have found that turning it off, turning off the power supply for a bit, then turning it all back on will fix it, if that provides any insight. Another issue is that while using the PC, it will completely freeze, except for the mouse. I can still move the cursor around, but I cannot click anything, close any applications, alt tab, windows key doesn't work. I have to turn it off and on again to fix this issue, and it is happening more and more.
Thanks for any advice.

Hi! I am very sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your PowerSpec. Can you tell what debug lights are lit on your motherboard when it will not boot? It will generally be BOOT, CPU, RAM, AND VGA.
For the freezing, does this happen when completing any particular tasks such as playing games or watching videos? Do you have a lot of apps and tabs open? -
Hi,
The CPU light is red and RAM light is orange when it happens.
The freezing seems to happen when I switch applications a few times in a row, like being on one app for a minute switching to another for a minute, repeat. It has happened when I only have spotify and a game open, it has even happened when the only thing opened was the snipping tool and tried to move it from one screen to another. -
The freezing more indicates a drive issue than anything else. The cold boot issue sounds more like RAM. Lets see what it's doing. Please run zentimings and post a screenshot:

Can you take a picture of the label on the RAM module itself?

I have never used this tool before, could you elaborate on what/where to find this?
-
I mean the actually RAM stick itself in the system. Can you get a picture of the label?

Hello, I received new ram sticks. Do you recommend i remove the old ones or just add the 2 new ones to my other 2 slots?
