My PowerSpec G701 was a disaster from shortly after I bought it (new)

Not being upgradable to Windows 11 (it has a Ryzen 7 1700, the only Ryzen 7 version not supported by W11), it has blue screened at least once a week starting a few monthss after I bought it. After the first year, the blue screens began to occur multiple times per week. I have a health issue that prevents me from carrying the box to my car to take it to the Micro Center store where I bought it.

I did everything suggested by Microsoft and the Microsoft Community, which includes reseating every card and SIMM that came with the machine. I'm talking about years of frustration.

My latest issue is the latest Windows 10 update, which makes it blue screen even if I just log in to the system. So, my machine now crashes multiple times every day. I will be backing out of the latest update because I need this machine to work. I have to find a way to prevent this update from happening again becausee a blue screen every day or two still allows me to get work done.

According to Microsoft, the issue is the hardware. I enclose the latest event view to illustrate. This TPM issue is only the latest blue screen and is related to the latest Windows update. But I have a whole slew of screen dumps that illustrate a plethora of issues with this machine.

So, please let me know why I should EVER buy another PowerSpec machine. Mine is a total disaster, just garbage.

Meanwhile, please tell me how to completely turn off Windows updates so I can work until I buy a reliable machine.

To kill windows update. I'd suggest going into services.msc and disabling the windows update service entirely for now.
