AMD AMD RYZEN 7 9700X and GIGABYTE B650 GAMING X AX V2 ATX combo keeps flashing between CPU and DRAM

I recently purchased the below combo bundle with all the parts listed below. After assembling, the CPU and DRAM flashes red alternatively.

AMD AMD RYZEN 7 9700X WO COOL

GIGABYTE B650 GAMING X AX V2 ATX

G.SKILL 32G 2X D5 6000 C32 FX B

MSI MAG A750GL 80+G ATX3

CRUCIAL 500GB P3 PLUS GEN 4 NVME

Tried the suggested flashing of BIOS with F32D (latest version) and it went through the whole process.

However, my motherboard LEDs keeps flashing between CPU and DRAM (CPU...DRAM...1s stay on DRAM....CPU....DRAM....). Almost alternating every second non-stop.

  • Sorry to hear about the issues you are having! Have you already tried reseating the CPU? I recommend also trying to use one RAM stick at a time in each channel to see if there is a possibility of a bad stick or channel on the board. CMOS reset may also help!

  • I tried one RAM stick in each slot and with the second stick too. Tried CMOS reset multiple times in different combinations/sequence but every time, same LED behavior.

Finally, contacted Micro Center tech support and going to return all the components.

That quick toggle is telling you it's failing when it tries to initialize the CPU/IMC. It's a component failure. CPU/Board/PSU are in play, but it's not a memory issue. It never gets that far.

  • Thanks for replying….appreciate your time and help!

Will restart all over again with Intel components this time.
