Windows product key / digital license?

I had a brand new complete system built in 9/24. It came with Windows installed. I guess that's needed for testing prior to release or something. I took my system home, fired it up just to make sure everything was working, which it was. I use Linux so within 5 minutes I was completely wiping the SSD and installing MX Linux. I got that done and I'm very happy with my system, but I now realize my new system provided me with a brand new legitimate version of Windows. I now realize I may need that in the near future or at some point down the line. Before I trashed all my packing and parts material, I looked through everything and all my order's paperwork but I never came across anything that resembled a Microsoft Product Code or key or digital license or whatever it's called. My question is, if I provide my order info, can I obtain a legit Microsoft Product code?

you can reinstall windows from the media creation tool on another desktop and make a windows os install bootable usb. the digital license should activate windows the first time you get online with it. you can check by going to settings, system , then about , on windows 11 you can type activation in settings search bar and it will list the status also .

you can also type in this line from the command prompt

1. Access Command Prompt: Press the Windows key + S to open the search bar. Type “cmd” into the search bar. ...
2. Enter the command: Once the Command Prompt window is open, type or copy and paste the following command: wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey. ...

I was able to look into your purchase a bit! The custom build you had completed came with Windows installed, however, I do not see that you purchased a Windows 11 product key! These are generally sold separately unless you brought a key in from somewhere else to use for the build.
