Above is a build I just threw this together for a friend looking to get their first custom PC for around $1k. He's on 1080p @ 144hz (may upgrade to 1440p) and plays COD, GTA6 if it ever releases, and other less demanding titles. Any part suggestions to improve the bang for the buck? Nothing is set in stone yet, and this build may change entirely based on feedback. Thanks for your time!

CPU Cooler:
A 9600X does not need Water Cooling, for one they are efficient, for 2, it is a 65 watt cpu meaning it will never draw over 88 watts.
This much cheaper Cooler Master would be fine.

Btw I have a 9700X, I do have a Phantom Spirit 120 EVO as it's cooler, it's overkill though when at stock 65 watts. Changing it to 105 watt mode does not help much for gaming, so I leave it at 65 watts. At 65 watts that Hyper 212 will be fine.
RAM:
50% of the Games I play will cause my PC to use over 16gb Ram, 2 games I play, Star Citizen and Atlas (Steam) at times cause slightly over 30gb Ram use and that is with nothing in the background cept' Discord.
IE 32gb total Ram would be better, especially for Future proofing.
Video Card:
That 4060 will do fine at 1080p, (may upgrade to 1440p) at 1440p that 4060 will not be enough.
I have a Asus Dual 4070, I play at 1440p on a Dell 32", 165Hz. Imo there is no way I'd try 1440p with less than a 4070 or 7800XT.
PSU:
850 watt is overkill, Requirement for a 4060 is only a 550 watt psu, plus add the 88 watt 9600X, a 550 watt would be fine, for some added headroom and futureproof I'd go with a 650 watt. (I run a 9700X with a 4070 on a Super Flower Legion (B-Tier) 650 watt, no troubles at all)
That "x" model Corsair is not the new ATX 3.0 standard, even though that 4060 doesn't require the new 12 pin plug, the newer 3.0 Standard is Safer/Higher Quality, so building a new PC you might as well get a Atx 3.0+
This 650 watt should do fine and has a 10 year Warranty
