Power spec G180 Bios access - not.
It's an oldie, maybe a goodie, but it's never been used. Thought I would give it a try on Linux. Has a dedicated 65GB MicroCenter- branded SSD and a Samsung 2tb hdd. A never registered legit Win7 os. with COA. I cannot get into bios to have it boot to usb so as to load Mint.
Have tried disconnecting the hdd; tried a spare ssd with mint but only get to the LM logo (not surprised, this ssd is from another machine and didn't expect it to work but looking for luck) and worn fingertips red by pressing f2, f12, del, esc, every other f key. Searched online forums, search engines, etc, etc.
Manufacture date 04/2011. Intel MB DZ68DB w/ i7-2600K. HDMI out from mb works - it will load to Win7 and can navigate the os and wants to connect to wifi - but I don't. This unit has literally been in storage since the original purchaser bought it at MC so I figured the CMOS battery was goner. Changed it out, a second time left it out 20 minutes to try resetting the bios.
Don't know what else to do, at my limit of knowledge but it's not that deep anyway. I think the bios was locked with a password.
Thanks for any advice.

Should be F2 on that board.

MikeW, thanks.
Changed the cmos battery today for a new one. Old one out, waited 10 minutes+; let it boot to Win7 and shut down.
Tried F2 several ways, tapping repeatedly, holding it down as pwr on, quickly F2 on power up. I'm not a tech wizard but have done this before so I know how it works on other machines, but on this one no.
Using F2 in any way results in black screen and need to hard shutdown. No W7 boot, no bios; just black screen. I've been thru all F keys and Del, Esc. On some F keys normal booting is delayed until I let go the key and it boots to W7. On others when I let go the key it's black screen.
I've searched more today and MB specific info says F2. As far I know this machine has never been set up - really - probably never been plugged in. Went from store to storage and to my house where I'm trying to get it going.

Try this. From elevated command prompt type: shutdown /fw /r /t 00
If that throws and error, invert fw and r: shutdown r /fw /t 00
