Powerspec G719 speakers never worked
I have never been able to hear anything from my computer speakers for a Powerspec G719.
If I plug headphones in or an external speaker through the same 3.5 jack for the headphones, then I can hear audio but nothing from the computer itself.
In sound settings, I cannot even test audio without something plugged into the 3.5 audio port for headphones.
I am wondering if this G719 model never had speakers installed and if Microcenter assumes gamers would only use a head set?
Any advice?

This is correct, Desktop PC's do not typically have built in speakers. They used to have case buzzers on the boards for POST codes, but that's been gone for a long time.

I continued to troubleshoot while waiting on the tech support line. I made things worse. I was originally able to listen on a headset from either the desktop 3.5 jack or the monitor 3.5 jack. After altering settings, it would no longer play from the monitor jack for a headset.
The agent confirmed one of my theories, the machine never had a speaker installed in the first place because a gaming model presumes that the person would use a headset.
The agent was also able to fix my settings so I can listen through the monitor jack again.
Ricco did a good job.

Had this issue with the G718. Had to use the audio through the GForce which luckily my monitor has an audio out jack. Can select Realtek audio in Windows settings but it ALWAYS reverts to Gforce audio. Headphones work however. I suppose you could plug in speakers to that jack but it seems like a design problem.

You're saying the front jack works but the rear doesn't? First thing is to uninstall the Realtek Audio software. Reboot the system. See if something's bugged with soft ports. Happens too often unfortunately.

The gaming computer never had speakers installed in the first place. Gaming models presume the end user will use a headset.
