Powerspec G520
Just purchased one of these and a Acer 31.5 4k monitor 3 days ago. The performance in WOW is decent at 4k but drops to 30fps often on ultra. I want to try upgrading the memory first but this PC goes against all I have ever known. It has 1 16gb stick of gskill s5 ddr5 6000. I want 32gb. No one sells a single stick so I have to buy 2 16s im guessing but my question really is, can I add the 2 sticks to bank B1 and B2 and leave the single in A1?

part number is F5-6000J3238F16GX1-RS5K, GX1 indicates single stick, so it should be available. Just a question of whether it matches what's in there, so far as the IC at minimum.
You can run three sticks like that. It'll work, but it's in flex mode. Meaning the last 16GB is in single channel mode and effectively has half the bandwidth. The real question is whether it'll be stable on the XMP profile.

So it's better to run in dual channel memory? Then a single stick? Thanks for the quick reply! Love the powerspec. Hands down best budget gamer pc

Yes, it can read and write to each channel at the same time, effectively doubling the bandwidth.

Not that I'm complaining, though why would the builders use a single stick knowing it runs much better with 2? Cost savings?

Cost and the extra cache on the X3D processor mitigates the performance loss in gaming.
