PowerSpec G448 Bios update causes crashing in Fortnite and Marvel
Updated to the latest bios on MSI website for my mobo. Confirmed via bios Z790-P WiFi.
Fortnite crashes in middle of game. Could be 20 mins or an hour. Same with Marvel.

I went back to find the old bios I had. Doesn’t exist on MSI website. Found out it was custom via MC. It was E7E06IZ1.AM6
i didn’t know about the Intel issues until after I purchased the pc. Good thing it has 2 year extended warranty plus 5 years on the processor.

I upgraded bios with intels new “fix” to try to correct the Intel issue and prevent cpu early degradation.
Anyway, I crash l now. Just generic you crashed. We’re sorry and working on fixing issues like this. Ran some CS2 and it didn’t crash. But it was only about 30 mins.
After the update Fortnite has crashed about 5 times.
Went back to a bios from April. Fortnite still crashes.
Going to update to the newest bios I found on here for the MSI board and see if I crash.
If I do, can I get the original I typed up earlier and check for crashing?
Nvidia latest driver installed previously and mo crashing. Updated bios today, crashing started right after.
Thanks, this is a great site. Wish I knew about it. Bought the pc in Fairfax.

Yes, I will see if I can locate the old BIOS Monday for you. However, it's likely there is some degradation and it's unstable under the voltages being provided by the new BIOS, where the spikes are capped. If it continues to be a problem, just bring it in and we'll swap the CPU.

Thank you
hope no degradation. No more crashing.I used the bios from this page that has the latest updates. Bios set to Intel settings and xmp.I didn’t know about the crashing until after I bought the pc. Would have went amd, and they had similar but it had 7800x3d I think.Either way, I am back to no crashing after I put the micro center latest bios that was posted on a different thread.
