Is a graphics card required?
I plan to build a new desktop PC primarily for software development. I have decided to use the Ryzen 9 7950X CPU because of its core count and speed.
I am a software developer. I am not a gamer, and have never purchased or used a higher end GPU. As I understand it, the "X" at the end of the Ryzen model means it has a build in GPU. If so, can I build a PC using this CPU without purchasing a graphics card at all? I want to get the fastest performance now. I may add a mid-range graphics card later, so I will leave some wattage room in my power supply selection, but for starters I hope to do the build without buying a graphics card.
Will this work?
