Online "Reservation" is a Waste of Time

I ordered a 2.5" hard drive to be picked up at your Cambridge store last week. I got a confirmation that the order was ready to be picked up in less than an hour so I drove into the store (which is more than 30 minutes each way).

When I got to the front Max (who was very kind and helpful) asked "did they call you to let you know they were substituting something else?" No. No they didn't.

Instead of the 2.5" 2TB hard drive I ordered they had reserved a 3.5" hard drive. Not what I ordered and it wasn't something I could use. No one contacted me to let me know that they were substituting the wrong thing. The email that you sent me to let me know the order was ready had no indication of the substitution.

When I went to the hard drive section to try and get the correct size I was told that they were all out, despite the fact that your website claimed that you had several in stock for immediate purchase.

I'm furious that I was trying to do the right thing by supporting a local store only to have my time completely wasted.

I'll just buy from Amazon in the future. At least they can provide me the thing I ordered in a timely manner.
